Christy is TacticalTech's Programme Director. She is an experienced writer, editor, and curator who is passionate about fostering public dialogue and debate about the role that contemporary art can play in addressing social and political issues. She has published over 150 articles about contemporary art.

Christy Lange is a Los Angeles-born writer, editor and curator. Christy began her professional career as an art critic and worked as an editor at the world’s leading contemporary art magazine. While there, she also curated an annual series of public talks and discussions about the intersections of art and society. Her interest in the ways artists investigate government surveillance led her to Tactical Tech, where she has been Programme Director since 2017.

She has published over 150 articles about contemporary art and artists in books, newspapers, magazines and exhibition catalogues. She is passionate about fostering public dialogue and debate about the role that contemporary art can play in addressing social and political issues.
