Survival in the digital age: ono robot

Meet ONO, the cute and cuddly (well, maybe not cuddly... but definitely cute!) robot who stars in our Survival in the Digital Age animations and short clips.

Survival in the Digital Age takes a closer look at the technologies you are using - computers, the internet, mobile phones - and what risks each technology might pose to your safety and privacy. After watching the films, you'll be able to decide yourself when and if you want to take the risks involved in using these technologies.

The films also raise broader questions about privacy, freedom of expression and access to information.

The films have been translated (mostly by volunteers) into Arabic, Armenian, Bosnian, Burmese, Croatian, English, Farsi, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

You can follow ONO on Twitter, where he posts about digital security and privacy under his stage-name, ONOnymous. (read more on why ONO currently operates semi-undercover, here)
