Open Call for Partners: Exposing the Invisible – The Kit
Our recently launched Exposing the Invisible – The Kit is a collaborative resource of investigative techniques, tools and inspiration. It is a starting point for anyone who believes in the power of information as evidence or who is seeking substantial and creative ways to investigate the world around them. Think of it as a citizen's investigation kit.
With this call, we are looking for partners who would like to further co-develop, localise and disseminate the Kit, making it relevant to a worldwide audience of emerging and aspiring investigators and avid information seekers.
If you are interested in working with us, please fill out and submit the form below by Friday, 10 May 2019.
Exposing the Invisible – The Kit makes knowledge, techniques and tools used by experienced investigators more accessible to less experienced people and groups who are motivated to uncover information, document evidence and expose wrongdoing without losing sight of ethical and safety considerations. Our reason for developing this resource is simple. We see investigation as a way to counter the suppression of opinions, bypass censorship, combat excessive secrecy and increase transparency, so that people can rely on facts rather than opinions and assumptions.
We would like to work with organisations and initiatives that share our motivation to make investigation techniques and tools more accessible and useful to aspiring investigators worldwide, as well as to help cultivate what we like to call an “investigative mindset.”
Collaborations can include, but are not limited to: • co-developing new Kit content or expanding existing content; • contributing to public outreach; • planning and hosting investigation workshops, training and other events; • localisation and/or translation of content.
As a partner, you will work closely with members of our Exposing the Invisible team at Tactical Tech in shaping new ideas, co-developing content and planning activities. Depending on the types of activities and collaboration, we can provide some funds to support the partnership.
