Wael is a Project Developer for Tactical Tech's Exposing the Invisible project. He is a journalist, technologist and trainer known for his critical commentary on Egyptian politics, human rights issues, and social justice.

Wael Eskandar is an Egyptian journalist and technologist known for his critical commentary on Egyptian politics, human rights issues, and social justice. He gained prominence for his writings during the 2011 Egyptian revolution and continues to be a vocal critic of various human rights abuses in the region.

Since 2018 Wael has been working as an analyst on Exposing the Invisible a programme of work by Berlin-based Tactical Technology Collective, which tells the story of released data by exploring the different techniques, tools and methods along with the individual practices of those working at the new frontiers of investigation.
