Open Knowledge Brasil

Open Knowledge Brasil (OKBR), also known as Rede pelo Conhecimento Livre, is the chapter of Open Knowledge Internacional in Brazil. OKBR is an organization dedicated to the promotion of transparency and information. They use and develop civic tools, projects, public policy analysis, data journalism and promote free knowledge in the various fields of society. In the political sphere, they seek to make the relationship between government and society closer and more transparent.The organization believes that technology can and should be an ally of the citizen with regard to social control and dialogue with the government.
