Associació Verificat

Associació Verificat is the first fact-checking platform in Catalonia. Associació Verificat is an impartial, independent organization committed to transparency, both in terms of the funding sources and in the methodology. They believe that fact-checking must be an activity detached from political and economic interests, which is why no member of their team has ties to parties or conflicts of interest of any kind. Associació Verificat specializes in monitoring Catalonia's politics, hate speech and scientific misinformation that has multiplied since the pandemic, especially on health and climate change. The organisation is also does data journalism, research and work on transparency.
